We have also been monitoring for emergent infectious disease. This is a special fern (probably a species of <em>Blechnum<\/em>) common to older growth forest. <span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"es\">Al inspeccionar localidades con bosques primarios, a veces nos topamos con plantas especiales. The trees can grow to old ages and their presence develops leaf litter on the forest floor that many Chilean amphibians prefer to live within. <span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"es\">Los bosques de hayas del sur de Chile son lugares especiales. Los \u00e1rboles pueden crecer hasta edades avanzadas y su presencia genera hojarasca en el suelo del bosque en el que muchos anfibios chilenos prefieren
